Frying Pan Bay to Honey Harbor

Thursday June 24 - We pulled up anchor and headed down the "Small Craft Channel" to Honey Harbor, and pulled into the Delawana Inn docks. It has lots of transient spots, but we later found out, no water and no power at the docks. Well, at least it was only $1/ft for overnight and they do have ice. This is a local resort so we were able to use their WiFi in a really nice large lobby lounge area. Kathi was able to use one of a bank of desktop machines to do her email work. I did bills and checked accounts, updated Quicken, and this blog. There are two restaurants here so we may hit one of them for a change. We may have to visit another marina to get a pump-out, water, and some supplies before we head back north along the channel.

We had dinner at the bar grill outside the 'Royal Dinning Room' in the main building here at the Delawana Inn. We also bought some maple syrup for pancakes later on the trip at the downstairs 'Vacation Store'. We checked the shower washrooms over by the pool, but they were locked. Well, at least we can access the bathrooms in the main building, and I am able to get the WiFi here on the boat. This area is too touristy, developed, with too many rules. We will probably head back north up the Small Craft Channel and pop-out near Giant's Tomb Island and go to one of those island anchorages tomorrow.

Tight and narrow quarters in the channel, but plenty of water and width in most areas. We did have one nice local powerboat pull-up and slow to wait for us to get the middle of a very narrow passage between two buoys.
