It was raining all morning and did not clear until near 3:30pm. I took a nap for a couple hours, and Kathi read about the area and the routes to Tobermory. Once the weather cleared and the sun came out, we went for a walk along the beach, then followed a trail through the parks and neighborhoods (in the woods) until we found a Green Road back into town around 4:30pm. Went to a Kwik-E-Mart type store (Ralph's Hi-Way Shopette) to get Kathi her much needed "seltzer". She talked to the cashier who told her the best outdoor bar was still the Wismer House (by the way the Blackhawks lost in overtime last night)... we went there for drinks and an appetizer around 5:30pm, and then to the Blind Badger for another set of beers and some single malt. Walked back to the Harbor for dinner. We probably walked at least 6 miles today... Going to plan the routes to Tobermory tonight and we will see what the weather gods bring us in the morning... Currently "blasting" bagpipe music (Caledonian Heritage Band) through-out the boat and harbor through our cockpit stereo speakers...

Panorama of the Port Elgin Harbor
Walk along the beach with Port Elgin Harbor in the distant background.
Park trail from the distant beach back into Port Elgin town center.
Mosquito factory seen along the trail back into town.
Wismer House bar and grill - our first stop.
Had a great appetizer and a couple Johnnie Walker Blacks and a Bass Ale.
Then on to the Blind Badger for a Rickard's Red and some Glenmorangie.
