Mainsail is on, battens in, reefing lines set, and StackPak is rigged properly. The new LED Anchor Light is now correctly installed and working. The Tri-Flow Teflon oil I sprayed in the mast main slot on the way down from the masthead makes a big difference when hauling the main up! US Customs and OH registration stickers in place. I passed the Ohio Boat Operators exam and have a "Temp" certificate - waiting on the official one to be mailed. All the reefing and furling lines, halyards, and sheets all run back to the cockpit. Only problem was when I ordered my First Mate to bring up the Genoa... she appeared with the Spinnaker... we had left the head-sail at home! And it was a perfect day to put it on.
Figured out how to run the 110v wiring and where to install the three new sockets - just need to buy the wire, sockets and covers and get brave enough to cut the holes! Won't have to run an extension cord for the fans anymore! While I was doing that, the First Mate waxed the deck and most of the cockpit.
I attempted to install a new stereo and it was working great! - for about 1/2 hour then failed... Amazon.com is sending us a replacement - second-day shipping and free UPS pickup of return item - great customer service. Old one is back in and working - sans DVD/CD functionality. Hope this new one will be OK.

Waiting on the Vizio 26" LCD TV to arrive (lots of marinas have free cable including Cedar Point, and we can play DVDs off my laptop). Have not fully figured out where and how to install it.
Tasks ahead also include flushing out the water tanks, run the wiring, remove gear we are never going to use, get a radar reflector, and check-out the possible rudder damage. We plan to cruise to Kelley's Island North Bay this weekend and have a look (the water will be less cloudy and I can use the spotlight - water is still too cold for a dive down look - 49.5 °F!).
We had to come home for Dr appointments and other obligations, but are trying to be on our way north no later than Memorial Day weekend. I don't want to rush the trip, but we have reservations for July 1 (Canada Day) through July 4th up at Club Intrawest Blue Mountain (Collingwood, ON) and need to get there on time to meet up with Aaron and Maggie. Thanks Garry for the suggestion of calling ahead to make "reservations" and the Collingwood Marina.

Minor mistake on my part! Didn't look close enough at sail to realize that it was spinnaker and not head sail. Have sorted through boat and found lots of treasures and gear. Found books and games that Jess and Aaron used when they sailed with us when they were younger. Kept most of games on board since we can play if stuck in bad weather. Still have Aaron's plastic fly swatter gun. Fun to play with. Still miss having the kids on the boat w/us along with their friends, and even the dog! Have taken lots of stuff for trip out to boat already and have more storage sspace than I thought. Anchored out at North end of Kelley's Island Wed. night and was able to go in water Th. around noon to take another look at the rudder. Sun was out and water was clearer so it was easier to look at. Just minor scratches on side of rudder and ding on bottom port side of rudder was smaller than I thought. Rudder is straight and no wiggles in it, plus propeller looks fine. Water was a bit cool but tolerable. Can't swim too far yet since water is a bit cold but great to be in the lake again! Hoping to leave tomorrow and still have lots to do today to get ready but should be able to get it done! Weather looks great next week and winds will be from East on Monday so we can anchor on west side of Pelee Island for take off point and visit the winery before we leave. Want to buy a few bottles of wine, esp. a bottle or 2 of port for close friends who retired in Canada on East side of Georgian Bay. We sailed with them for 10-14 years on Lake Erie. Will hook up with them in early July. More later........
