It Is Manic Monday...

Yes, today is the day.  Dropped off the cat at Aaron's house... Whiskers seemed to be doing OK when we left.  He was out and walking around the family room and checking out had feeder and box in their laundry room.  I think he will have the best chance of acclimating there and getting along with Bear.  Taking him on the boat was just not going to work.

Ran out to the boat yesterday to put "trimmed" battens back in the sail, remove some additional equipment, add some other equipment, bring the large bin with canned and dry food stuffs on-board, and then wrestled the old Genoa (head-sail) into the storage compartment under the v-berth.  Still have one more 110v socket to install for the new 26" Vizio LCD HDTV and get a wall mount for it, but I can do that work on the trip.

Headed home and made one last visit to the Cowboy Bar for a late dinner (http://www.cowboyfoodanddrink.com/) and to say farewell to Kalib and Ross at the bar.

Today, getting last set of tasks complete: Oil change for my car, shutdown computers and shut-off house things, set-up the mail forwarding to Aaron, forward phones to our cells, get a VESA mount for the HDTV, do the final packing of cloths into bins, one final grocery shop and loading up food from the refrigerator into the cooler.

Neighbors are keeping an eye on the house and we are on the local police "House Watch List".  Jenessa will be by every few days to check on things and water plants.  Kathi meets with a landscaper this morning to arrange for lawn mowing.  I think we have everything covered.

Plan to leave before noon, get out to the boat, and get going.  The plan is to head to Mosquito Bay at Pelee Island and then "jump off" for the Detroit River tomorrow morning.  Weather looks good.
